Milgauss

Milgauss
One of many statement watches in Rolex’s Professional Series, the Milgauss was specifically created for the scientific community. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss, ref. 6451 debuted in 1956, and was designed to withstand magnetic fields that disrupted regular timepieces. Tested by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), it was found the watch resisted magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss thanks to ferromagnetic alloy components. Celebrated by Rolex as a watch for those “with a passion for science and discovery,” the 40mm Milgauss comes in black, white and Z-blue dial options.
